Your timeless French Destination Wedding Photography starts here.
I'm Michael, an Australian, English-speaking photographer based in Sarlat-la-Canéda, a medieval town in the heart of the Dordogne. I ended up here because of the light, the stone, and the kind of slowness that's hard to find anywhere else. It turns out it's also one of the most beautiful places in the world to get married.
I have photographed over 250 weddings across France, in the Dordogne, Provence and the Côte d'Azur, as well as Lake Como and Sydney. Most of my couples have put enormous care into choosing where and how they want to celebrate, and that intention shows. My job is to document it honestly, the details, the emotions, the moments between moments, without ever pulling you out of your own day.
My style is romantic fine art editorial. Soft light, real feeling, pictures that look like they belong to the day rather than on top of it. I want you to feel like stars, at ease in front of the camera, fully present with the people you love, and completely yourselves. I'll guide you gently when it helps and step back when it doesn't. What you'll end up with are photographs that feel as good to look at as the day felt to live.
